Simmons racks up 78% retention for spring 2016

Simmons & Simmons has retained 78 per cent of its trainees this spring.

The firm stated that it had nine trainees reaching qualification, and offered newly-qualified jobs to eight of them, with seven accepting.

Simmons is one of the more erratic performers when it comes to trainee retention, with results typically bouncing anywhere between 60 and 90 per cent of qualifiers kept on.

Overall, in the 12 retention rounds since autumn 2010, the firm has given 179 of its trainees jobs, and lost 60 – an overall retention rate of 75 per cent.
