The University of Law (ULaw) has launched a part-time LLB, combining online and face-to-face learning.
The LLB is designed to appeal to career changers or mature students wishing to develop their legal careers as well as younger students who cannot afford to undertake a traditional degree. It will combine evening face-to-face learning with weekend webinars.
The university is establishing the degree following the 2012 launch of its full-time LLB, the applications to which have risen steadily in the interceding years.
ULaw is running the LLB from September at its Bloomsbury and Birmingham centres and intends to roll it out across its centres nationwide from September 2015.
University of Law president Nigel Savage said: “Following a successful launch of our law degree and very positive feedback from students and legal employers, we were keen to make the programme accessible to students who want to combine study with other commitments.”
He added: “By immersing students in practical real-life business scenarios from day one, our LL.B ensures that they have the necessary professional skills to stand out in a competitive recruitment market.”
