RPC records charity Christmas single

RPC has released a Christmas charity single to raise money for homelessness charity St Mungo’s Broadway.

The cover of Slade classic Merry Christmas Everyone has been recorded by the firm’s choir, RPC Harmony, along with Jon Boydon, the lead in West End musical Jersey Boys. The firm managed to get permission from Noddy Holder to record it.

All money raised will help fund St Mungo’s Broadway’s basic skills programme, which works to help those who have come off the streets to develop their numeracy and literacy skills so they can enter the workforce and gain independence.

RPC managing partner Jonathan Watmough told Lawyer 2B: “We’ve been talking for a while with St Mungo’s about devising a major fundraising event for them, and in passing they mentioned that they have a fully equipped recording studio in Covent Garden. So, one thing led to another and we all decided for our choir to release a Christmas single. The head of the choir, Robert Waterson, a tax associate, plays piano, and his brother Andrew is a record producer who happened to be working with Jon Boydon, who agreed to do lead vocals.”
