Oscar Pistorius has ‘enrolled to study law at LSE’

Oscar Pistorius is studying for a law degree through the London School of Economics, it has emerged.

The disgraced Paralympian, who was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp last week, argued that he needed web access to complete his course at a bail hearing today: “I have enrolled at the London School of Economics for a BSc business with law degree. I study by way of correspondence and need daily access to the internet for this purpose.”

The LSE does not offer correspondence courses, but it does provide guidance on distance learning degrees run by the University of London.

A University of London spokeswoman said she could not comment on individual students.
