Oldham Council will recruit two apprentices into its in-house legal team, with both apprentices taking the CILEx training route.
One apprentice will join the civil litigation team, focusing on the dent recovery and insolvency pathway of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services, which trains students in contract law, conveyancing and law.
The other will gain their Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services via the property route and join the council’s property team.
CILEx Law School learning and development manager Nicola Goodman said: “It is good to see employers like Oldham Council taking advantage of these legal apprenticeship schemes to recruit local young talent and give them job opportunities. I look forward to teaching the two recruits when they join the Council in September.
The BBC has also recently announced the launch of its apprenticeship scheme (5 March 2013).
