Ince & Co turns to Kaplan for LPC offering

Kaplan Law School has fired another shot in the battle to control the post-graduate legal education market in London by adding a tenth firm to its rapidly expanding law firm roster.

The school has struck a deal with Ince & Co to be the sole provider of the Legal Practice Course and Graduate Diploma in Law to all of firm’s future trainee solicitors who decide to study in London from September 2010.

Head of Kaplan Law School Giles Proctor said: “The fact that 70 per cent of Ince & Co’s partners trained with the firm is strong evidence of the firm’s commitment to investing in helping its lawyers reach their full potential.”

Although this arrangement brings the total number of law firms signed up to Kaplan to 10, it is still a far cry from arch-rivals College of Law and BPP Law School, which both have 19 law firms on their books.
