The City Law School has upped its Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) fees by 3 per cent, charging aspiring barristers £16,500 from September 2012.
The law school has also raised its Legal Practice Course (LPC) fee by 2 per cent, increasing from £12,250 to £12,500.
In a statement a spokesperson said: “Our prices are in line with the rest of the market and we believe they represent good value in terms of the level of face-to-face tuition and the support provided.”
The professional legal course provider follows in the footsteps of law school giants BPP Law School (BPP) and the College of Law (CoL).
CoL now charges £16,140 and £13,180 for its BPTC and LPC respectively. Meanwhile, BPP’s fees for the BPTC and LPC sit at £13,550 and £16,540 respectively (19 January 2012).
Kaplan Law School also bolstered fee levels. Its LPC will cost £12,850 and its BPTC fee will be £15,800 for 2012 starters (30 November 2011).
