The helpline has been running for six years and has recently recruited 11 new volunteers to answer the freephone calls.
The majority of calls were from people seeking training contracts or having problems managing their workplace, but 16 per cent of callers phoned because they were experiencing bullying or harassment at work.
TSG education officer Michelle Holloway said: “If someone thinks they are suffering mistreatment we make sure they speak to someone at their firm. We help them to be more assertive and try to make sure it’s not just them being sensitive. If it’s serious we suggest they go the Law Society.”
