London team wins global moot contest

Law students from London emerged as heroes in the European Law Students’ Association’s (ELSA) first-ever international moot court competition, held in Geneva earlier this summer. Not only did the University of London Union team romp home as overall winners, but Stephanie Motz, of King’s College London, was named as best overall advocate.

Teams of law students from 38 countries, including the Russian Federation and the US, took part in the contest. Teams had to base their arguments around a specially prepared fictitious case involving globalisation and international trade law.
