Professor Scott Slorach was professor of curriculum design at Nottingham and worked closely with the consortium of eight City law firms to design the new City-focused course. Slorach is now taking charge of the College of Law's Legal Practice Course (LPC), including its City course.
Jason Ellis is also joining the college from Nottingham, where he was responsible for all corporate and commercial teaching on the LPC.
The double defection is a significant coup for the College of Law, after its failed bid to be picked as a provider of the original City LPC a couple of years ago.
Professor Nigel Savage, chief executive of the College of Law, said he was delighted by the news. "They will be working on our exciting plans for the next generation of the LPC," he added.
Peter Jones, Nottingham Law School's dean and chief executive said: "Scott and Jason have made a real contribution to Nottingham Law School over the past 10 years. They were part of a highly successful team which continues to develop and flourish."
