Hogan Lovells pledges support of Cambridge Masters
Hogan Lovells is sponsoring the appointment of a Cambridge University law lecturer in support of a new masters degree in corporate law (MCL) to be launched in autumn 2012.

Richard Williams, who will be known as the Hogan Lovells Lecturer in Corporate Law, will teach modules including accounting and finance, corporate litigation, corporate taxation, global financial regulation, trusts and pensions and US corporate law and securities regulation.
Hogan Lovells graduate recruitment partner Lawson Caisley said: “We are committed to working collaboratively with academics to ensure we have the capacity in the UK to provide world class law teaching.”
The top-10 law firm will also offer corporate lawyer mentors to MCL students, with face-to-face meetings and email contact throughout the year.
Hogan Lovells has sponsored a professor at Oxford University for the last two years, providing both mentoring and an alumni network with students. This support will continue.
The firm has said it would also consider similar support at other universities that are keen to work with employers.
Brian Cheffins, a member of Cambridge University’s law faculty, added: “The new masters course and Hogan Lovells lecturer in corporate law are a central part of this commitment and we are delighted that we have been able to attract the necessary financing for this role.”
