Wragge & Co launches international trainee secondment

Wragge & Co has launched its first international trainee solicitor secondment programme to China.

The Birmingham firm is seconding one trainee to its office in Guangzhou, which specialises in intellectual property.

Graduate recruitment manager Chloe Lloyd said: “As an international law firm we want to employ people with a global outlook and perspective.

“You only get that by providing the opportunities for your people to experience different environments, and that has to include our trainees.”

The news follows Wragges embarking on a renewed graduate recruitment drive following a two-year hiatus (28 September 2011).

The revamped campaign has seen the firm embrace new technology and social media in a bid to expand the firm’s reach across UK universities.

Lloyd added that the firm also aims to open more international opportunities to trainee solicitors including seats in its Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices.
