Weil Gotshal & Manges has reinstated its New York seat for trainees solicitors who wish to have a secondment abroad.
The popular destination was removed from its offering as a result of the recession, which forced the New York office to cut down its recruitment.
Weil human resources officer Lucy Greaves said: “We’re very happy to be able to reinstate secondments to our New York office in March this year,”
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our trainees to experience the contrast of working practices and culture in our head office.”
The US law firm will be sending one of its trainees to its New York office next month (March) and also offers secondments to Silicon Valley and Paris, and occasionally to its other European offices.
