What is the value of gaining international work experience if I plan to practice in the UK?
I have just finished my first year of a law degree and now have a question regarding an opportunity that has come my way.
Would a placement at a South African law firm in Cape Town offer much, if any, additional value to my CV? I have other relevant legal experience, but I’m wondering what value experience outside of our jurisdiction would add if I plan on practicing in the UK. Should I save my money on flights for something more practical? It sounds like an absolutely incredible opportunity, but I’m unsure as to just how much value it would add.
