The University of Law has launched three full fee scholarships, open to applicants from all backgrounds.
The scholarships are named after three high-profile University of Law alumni, Lord Mayor of London and former president of the Law Society and CMS Cameron McKenna partner Fiona Woolf, Premier League general secretary Nic Coward and Irwin Mitchell chief executive John Pickering.
The three scholarships are open to Graduate Diploma in Law, LLM Legal Practice Course and Bar Professional Training Course students.
Pickering, who himself was awarded a scholarship, said: “It’s rather humbling to have your name attached to a scholarship and I am very proud. I have enjoyed a terrific career in the law, which is an exciting and very rewarding profession. If this scholarship can help other people gain access to the profession then that is really good news.”
To apply for one of the scholarships, students must submit a written article exploring why they want a legal career.
