The UK Law Students Association will host its annual equalities event at Lincoln’s Inn on 16 October 2013.
Key speakers include Justice of the Supreme Court Lord Robert Carnwath, 5 Paper Chambers barrister Christopher Rogers and Barclays Investment Bank legal department director Lawrence Hawkins. Other speakers are due to be confirmed.
The event will be split into two halves: the first half will feature practitioners speaking about their experience in the legal profession and taking questions from students while the second half will be a networking session for students to get to speak personally with the lawyers.
The event will be held from 6pm-9pm in the Great Hall, Lincoln’s Inn. For further details click here.
The event aims to highlight the fact that the legal profession is an accessible career for all students on the basis of merit; regardless of social background, age, disability, race, religion or sexual orientation.
