Trowers & Hamlins will expand its trainee intake in its Manchester and Exeter offices and is looking to recruit a trainee into its Birmingham office from September 2014.
The firm’s Birmingham office, first opened in 2011, is expected to offer seats in its employment and public sector departments as well as the real estate practice, which includes construction and planning.
In Exeter and Manchester, Trowers will increase its trainee intake from two and four trainees respectively, though the firm has not yet decided on the exact numbers it will hire.
Seats available at the offices include employment, public sector and real estate, including construction. Exeter also offers commercial property while banking and finance is available in Manchester. Trainees based in these offices have tended to also complete a seat in either London or the Gulf.
Graduate recruitment partner Tonia Secker said: “Not all graduates want to work in London, and there is great work to be done and opportunities to be taken by aspiring young lawyers around the country. They will get the benefit of a training contract with a national and international firm while retaining the ability to stay in their location of choice.”
