I did a vacation scheme at top ten firm last summer but unfortunately got rejected for a training contract because I completely messed up my post-placement interview.
The feedback I got from the firm afterwards was that I didn’t show enough commitment to a career in law (my degree is in History) as I didn’t show enough enthusiasm during my placement. The truth was that I was just a bit nervous. Anyway, a lot has happened since and I’ve been involved in a lot more law-related activities including mooting etc. Do you think it’s worth re-applying or will my application go straight in the bin?
