Jones Day has revealed that it will retain 82 per cent of its trainees set to qualify in autumn 2013.
The firm offered nine newly qualified (NQ) positions to its 11 September qualifiers, all of whom accepted. Earlier in the year, it kept on five out of six spring qualifiers, giving a total retention rate of 14 out of 17 for 2013.
The result is the latest in a line of strong performances for Jones Day, having kept on 13 out of 14 qualifiers (93 per cent) across two qualification rounds in the 2012 calendar year.
This autumn’s qualifiers will take up positions within the firm’s corporate, projects, real estate, banking, intellectual property, financial institutions litigation and business restructuring departments.
Earlier this year Jones Day embarked on an extensive refurb of its Tudor Street building in order to cope with its growing headcount without resorting to a costly office move.
