Pinsent Masons has revealed a newly qualified (NQ) retention rate of 73 per cent for September 2012.
The top 20 law firm is keeping 54 out of 74 trainee solicitors, after making 54 offers.
The result marks a slight boost from the previous retention rate round in September 2011, where the firm retained 69 per cent of qualifying trainees (5 July 2011).
The news follows DLA Piper and Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) becoming the latest firms to reveal their September retention rates (30 July 2012).
DLA Piper is holding onto 75 out of 86 trainees, giving it a 83 per cent NQ retention rate. Meanwhile, BLP is keeping 16 out of 20 trainees, leaving it with a 80 per cent result.
Elsewhere, Burges Salmon, Clifford Chance and Dickinson Dees posted rates of 100 per cent, 77 per cent and 87 per cent respectively for autumn 2012.
