Olswang is offering the prize of a week’s work experience in a new annual essay writing competition.
The UKSC Blog, which is run jointly by editors from Olswang and Matrix Chambers and covers developments in the UK supreme court, has launched a competition asking students to submit an essay to one of two questions: What has been the most important Supreme Court case to date and why? Or, Is the Supreme Court independent?
The competition is open to students studying an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course. The essay must be between 500 to 1000 words, and written in an informal style.
The winner will undertake their work placement in March 2012, and have their essay published on the UKSC Blog. The runners-up will also get to have their essays published on the Blog.
The deadline for entrants is at 5 pm on 27 February 2012.
