Nottingham Law School (NLS) has appointed a new dean to replace Keith Gaines who stepped down after three years in the role.
Andrea Nollent joined NLS on Monday (29 November) from Sheffield Hallam University where she held the role of assistant dean and previous role of head of law.
Peter Jones, senior pro vice-chancellor at Nottingham Trent University said: “We’re delighted that Andrea has agreed to join us. Her deep academic experience, strategic know-how and active engagement with the profession will all be invaluable in shaping the future direction and success of the law school.”
Nollent has established a reputation in the field of comparative legal education and trans-national education, with her work embracing employability and international student mobility.
Her extensive experience at a senior level in higher education and of working with employers should stand her in good stead to help NLS shape its future education offering to anticipate future demands of a changing legal market.
Nollent’s predecessor Gaines left NLS in February 2010.
