Nabarro takes its first Manchester NQ as it reveals autumn retention

Nabarro will retain 10 of its 13 autumn 2015 qualifying trainees as newly-qualified (NQ) lawyers.

This translates to a rate of 77 per cent, with 11 jobs offered initially. The NQs will mainly join the London and Sheffield offices, with the Manchester office taking an NQ for the first time since it opened in November last year.

In London, three NQs will qualify into dispute resolution. The banking and finance, financial regulatory, corporate and infrastructure, construction and energy departments will take one NQ apiece.

The Manchester based NQ will work in its corporate department while the two Sheffield-based NQs will join the real estate team.

This is Nabarro’s lowest retention rate since at least spring 2013. It follows a string of high results, keeping on 100 per cent of trainees as NQs in both spring 2014 and 2015. Last autumn it retained 81 per cent of its intake and in autumn 2013 it kept on 83 per cent.
