Linklaters’ retention sustains magic circle’s good run

Linklaters has revealed that 86 per cent of its spring 2014 qualifiers will stay on at the firm in newly-qualified roles.

Of the 58 qualifying trainees at Linklaters, 55 applied for NQ jobs, and 50 will stay on at the firm.

Linklaters is the third member of the magic circle to post its retention news this season, with Allen & Overy announcing a rate of 84 per cent and Clifford Chance retaining 94 per cent of its qualifiers.

The best-performing firms for retention so far this spring have been Trowers & Hamlins, Olswang, Osborne Clarke and Nabarro, which have all kept on 100% of their qualifiers.
