I want to apply for pupillage but I have only done one mini-pupillage – what are my chances?
I am coming to towards the end of my final year on the LLB, with the hope of commencing my BPTC in September. However, I have limited legal work-experience having only completed one mini-pupillage and I am concerned that until I do more there will be little chance of me gaining pupillage, and I may even harm my future chances by applying this year.
I have acted as a legal representative for a family member in a DLA tribunal and I am a trained member of a pro bono unit but I have had little opportunity to take part.
I really want to succeed in law, and fulfill my ambitions to become a barrister, but I feel that I am lacking due to my inexperience. I was focusing on my degree and with other domestic responsibilities it was quite difficult.
What would you suggest that I do?
