Henderson Chambers has launched a website dedicated to prospective pupils.
The new site www.hendersonpupillage.co.uk is believed to be the first of its kind across the bar and provides information on the type of work the chambers does and its pupillages and mini pupillages.
It will operate alongside the chambers’ Twitter feed @Hendersonpupils, also dedicated to prospective pupils and those on mini-pupillages.
Barrister Adam Heppinstall, who is also responsible for pupillage recruitment, said: “We commissioned the website because we recognise that it can be difficult for prospective pupils to get a handle on what a set is really like day-to-day.
“We wanted to give our applicants the best insight we could into chambers life, to help them make informed decisions about where to apply. We have always invested heavily in the recruitment process, and we find that it tends to pay off.”
The website details what Henderson Chambers is looking for in its applicants; their academics and intellectual capabilities and their business sense as well as telling prospective pupils about secondments to Brussels and tenancy with the set.
A spokesperson said: “Our policy has always been to be accessible and to provide as much information as we can, it’s best for them and for us. We thought it would be great to build a whole website for pupillages and that it would be helpful for applicants.”
