Freshfields pick of the law firms in latest Times ‘Best Grad Employer’ list

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is the highest-placed law firm in The Times’ annual list of ’Best Graduate Recruiters to Work For.’

There were no surprises in the list, which contains the same ten firms as last year, albeit in a different order.

Freshfields was placed 32nd, up from 40th in 2014 and one place of last year’s highest placed firm, Clifford Chance.

Allen & Overy was 39th (down 4), Linklaters placed 41st (down 7) and Slaughter and May was 50th (up 8).

DLA Piper was the law firm that moved up the rankings most, from 90th to 60th, Hogan Lovells came in 61st (up from position 83) and Baker & McKenzie was ranked 63rd.

Rounding out the list were Norton Rose Fulbright, which remained in 87th postion, and Herbert Smith Freehills, which dropped from 84th to 96th.

The first three spots on the list went to PwC, Aldi and Google.

The survey is compiled from interviews with 18,412 final-year students who are asked which employer they think offers the best opportunites for graduates, with the most-mentioned businesses making the list.
