Brabners Chaffe Street has signed a new “full-service” training deal with College of Law (CoL) to provide all of its training requirements from the Legal Practice Course (LPC) to continuing development for qualified lawyers.
CoL’s new base in Manchester will now offer bespoke tuition to all future Brabners Chaffe Street employees.
This will include training for the LPC, the Professional Skills Course (PSC), Management Stage One for newly qualified solicitors and professional development training for qualified lawyers.
The firm’s director of training and risk Dr Tony Harvey said: “The full service training solution, through the college’s bespoke programmes, will enable our staff to experience first class training within the context of [our] particular culture and values.”
The news comes just days after CoL announced it had signed up Ashurst, Harbottle & Lewis and Stevens & Bolton to its rapidly growing client roster.
The school will now be the exclusive provider of the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and LPC for all of Ashurst’s future trainees.
Meanwhile, media boutique Harbottle & Lewis and Stevens & Bolton have both signed exclusive deals with the school from September 2009. They will be sending all future trainees to the college to study their LPC.
The news takes the tally of firms signed up with the CoL to 19, beating that of rival BPP Law School’s total.
