Clifford Chance keeps on 75% of qualifiers

Clifford Chance will keep on 75 per cent of its September 2014 qualifying trainees in newly qualified roles.

The firm made 42 offers to a cohort numbering 53 in total, and 40 accepted.

This time last year, Clifford Chance kept on 80 per cent of its qualifiers, while in the spring it retained 94 per cent.

The other magic circle firms to have revealed their retention rates for the autumn are Freshfields, which is keeping on 82 per cent of its qualifiers and Linklaters, which is keeping on 93 per cent. Slaughter and May has recorded 97 per cent retention while Allen & Overy has yet to announce its results.
