Bristol students launch law conference

A student-run law conference discussing law and the media will take place on 8 March at the University of Bristol.

Featuring speakers such as Baroness Hale, the Supreme Court’s only female judge and chancellor of the university; Metropolitan Police commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe and Lord Hunt, Press Complaints Commission chair, it will be the first Russell Group student-led conference.

Event co-founder Steven Hunter said: “There are quite a few student conferences in finance and we realised there was nothing quite like that in law. We hope that the other smaller universities might adopt this model and that it will put Bristol on the map and perhaps continue in the long term.”
