BPP students made to wait for exam results

BPP Law school has denied claims that an outbreak of swine flu caused it to delay releasing exam results to its Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) students for two days earlier this week.

Hundreds of would-be lawyers had to wait 48 hours longer than expected for their exam results after BPP said that a technical fault meant it had to delay its publication date from 13 July to 15 July.

Dean of BPP Peter Crisp (pictured) said: “This unfortunate delay was due to a technical hitch, which has now been resolved, and it is not linked in any way to staff illness – or a swine flu outbreak, as speculated.”

The news comes after an administrative error caused the start of a Legal Practice Course (LPC) exam to be delayed by two and a half hours earlier this year.
