BPP Law School is planning to boost the number of places on its Legal Practice Course (LPC) with the launch of a third branch in London.
The new arm, located in the City adjacent to Norman Foster’s iconic “Gherkin” building and opposite Lloyds of London, will be principally used by BPP Business School. However, the Solicitors Regulation Authority has authorised the law school to house 300 LPC students in the new building, which will be officially launched in June.
Though the LPC will not be available from BPP’s new City arm from September 2009. The law school plans to run a bespoke MBA for future Simmons & Smmons trainee solicitors from the site beginning in September 2009.
As exclusively reported by Lawyer2B.com yesterday (12 March) Simmons has brought forward plans to launch the first ever dedicated legal MBA in a bid to manage the size of its trainee solicitor intakes.
BPP’s other London branches are based in Holborn and Waterloo while outside the capital the law school has locations in Leeds and Manchester.
