Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) is daring would-be lawyers to test their nerves by playing an online client scenario game with £500 of Selfridges vouchers up for grabs.
The City law firm has introduced the ‘Taxi Challenge’ on its brand new graduate recruitment website, inviting students to take a cab ride in a high-pressured commercial situation and then answer a series of mulitple choice questions about the journey.
Sarah Burson, graduate recruitment advisor with BLP said: “We want to recruit students who can offer that little something extra to BLP. We created a new graduate site as an innovative platform to help us identify the best graduates to recruit, support our future and in a competitive market help us to be recognised as a firm to watch.”
The taxi challenge is part of BLP’s new recruitment slogan – ‘Berwin Leighton Paisnericity – you’ve either got it or not’, which was launched at law fairs earlier this month (October) with the firm dishing out chili-flavoured chocolate to students.
But the red-hot theme held little originality for BLP with SNR Denton giving away packets of chilli seeds to mark its “Can you take the heat” and “Recipe for Success” recruitment slogans.
Meanwhile, Simmons & Simmons is offering students a chance to get their hands an iPAD. The competition is open to all potential candidates who attend a Simmons’ event after which they will receive a link to an online quiz about the firm. Entries with all eight correct answers will then be entered into a prize draw with two winners announced next February.
