Berrymans Lace Mawer has revealed that it will retain 86 per cent of its spring-qualifying trainees.
The top 50 firm will keep on six of a cohort of seven trainees in newly-qualified (NQ) positions. Five of the six NQs will be spread between the disease, healthcare, personal injury, professional indemnity and property damage departments while the remaining NQ has been sent on a client secondment.
Retention rates already released for the spring 2014 round have been strong so far, although firms with lower retention rates typically announce later in the season. Out of 347 trainees at the 15 firms which have made their retention public, 300 have been retained, an overall total of 87.4 per cent
