Easy as one, two, three

Welcome to the new look Lawyer2B magazine. If you have never read Lawyer2B before you will notice no difference, so please have a look around and make yourselves at home. If you have read Lawyer2B before, then we have some explaining to do.

First off, we have dispensed with the news front page – so everything on there and in the issue will remain relevant at least until the next issue and hopefully beyond. If you want that news fix go to Lawyer2B.com, which is updated constantly with all that is happening in the rapidly changing world of legal education and careers.

To ease you into the heavy duty magazine stuff, we have a brief rundown of what has been happening on Lawyer2B.com, where we went and where we are going next – we also look at emerging trends, this time from our survey of university law society presidents.

That is followed by a simple A to Z structure (well A-F at least).

Access profiles lawyers and their career routes – this issue we talk to civil liberties stalwart Jocelyn Cockburn; while Business will give you a headstart in knowledge of the legal market, commercial awareness and the big deals and cases of the moment – so this issue iPhone wars, shoppers’ paradise Westfield Stratford City and Downton Abbey go head-to-head for your attention.

Careers is the nuts and bolts guidance on how to get the career you want, and Data will give you a rundown in graphic form (go on, take a peak) of the information underlying the stories of the day.

Education will keep you up to date on the latest courses and what is happening on campus. While, if you haven’t noticed, the expense of legal education is rising, so Funding should get you up to speed on what you need to know. Oh, and BPP Law School is giving away free places on their GDL and LPC course!
