NLS sets up commercial IP course

Nottingham Law School (NLS) has launched a diploma in commercial IP for solicitors and others, intending to specialise in this practice area.

Starting in September, the programme builds on the LLM in Intellectual Property Litigation, which NLS has run since 2002.

Designed in consultation with experienced practitioners, the NLS course is for recently qualified solicitors and those new to the practice of IP law.

The course will cover all categories of IP law in a commercial context as well as the interplay between IP law and competition and tax regimes, giving students practical experience of relevant transactions and hands-on exposure to litigation processes in IP disputes.
