Liverpool Uni becomes mooting champion

Liverpool University romped home as victors in the 2003 Essex Court Chambers National Mooting Competition held at the Royal Courts of Justice during the summer. Second-year law students Simon Douglas and David Birrell had to defeat last year’s winners from Southampton University in the finals to emerge as crowned champions. The finalists had to tackle a fictional case relating to a painting allegedly confiscated and sold following the invasion and occupation of Iraq.
