In West Africa, for example, law student Nwando Okwosa scooped first place in the Miss Nigeria 2003 competition, after she was judged to be more dazzling than the other 18 contestants, according to official reports. Closer to home, a final-year law student from Queens University has triumphed in the Miss Northern Ireland contest. Diana Sayers, who wants to specialise in corporate law at the bar, is now through to the Miss World finals, which are being held in China at the end of this year. And over in Asia, the legal profession managed a third place at last years Miss Malaysia India Worldwide pageant.
