Droning on is what lecturers are supposed to be good at, but a Zimbabwean international law student has proved that students can do it too, and is set to win a place in that esteemed journal for the fantastic and downright stupid, the Guinness Book of Records.
Errol Muzawazi, a 19-year-old student based in the Polish city of Wroclaw, lectured fellow students for 60 hours and 45 minutes on the topic of democracy. Guinness World Record chiefs are poring over a video of his feat and if they find everything in order, Muzawazi will have smashed the previous record by 45 minutes.
Motormouth Muzawazi had a 15-minute break every eight hours and was allowed to eat and drink during the lesson. In a show of solidarity, students leapt in to ask him questions when it seemed like he was running out of things to say (didnt they have homes to go to?).
Altogether now: Dedication, ooh, dedication, dedications what you need…
