In an unusual step, Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) is planning to recruit a third more trainees this year as part of the firm’s overall expansion plans.
FFW normally recruits around 12 trainees per year, but the plan is to increase this number to 16 for 2005 and 2006, then 17 in 2007. It will advertise the new vacancies in law schools and on its website.
FFW graduate recruitment manager Carol Battrick told Lawyer 2B: “We’ve decided we need graduates in addition to those we already have, and have taken a fairly unusual step¦ in recruiting now for entry in 2005 and 2006. This is in response to current and planned expansion of key areas of the firm.”
The firm will grow its core practice areas of corporate, real estate and brand, technology, media and telecommunications, and these areas are likely to be where the newly recruited trainees complete their seats.
