Female student fights laws corner in the boxing ring

A mature law student was due to make sporting history last month by competing in the first ever female white collar boxing event in the UK.

At the time of going to press, Nazreen Princess Naz Hussain, a law student at the London School of Economics, was scheduled to take on Nadia the Greek Goddess Grivas, a practising psychologist, in a Real Fight Club event at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London.

Whitecollarboxing, although dominated by bankers and brokers, has become quite fashionable among UK lawyers particularly litigators after being brought over from the US by Alan Lacey, a former boxing promoter and events organiser and the man behind the Real Fight Club.

Boxing is made for warriors, he said, and isnt that what lawyers are?

Princess Naz and the Greek Goddess have been matched based on age, weight, experience, fitness and boxing skill. They will compete in three two-minute non-decision rounds. Good luck Princess Naz.
