Eversheds&#39 luvvies take universities by storm

A group of lawyers have turned into luvvies and swapped Acts of Parliament for acting.

Top-10 UK law firm Eversheds has created its own amateur dramatics team, which is now playing to packed audiences around the country.

A team of 14 wannabe thespians cram into the Eversheds tour-car and hit universities with their play, Life as a Lawyer.

Director of graduate recruitment Michael Hunting helped devise the play about commercial law. “We sprinkle pixie dust on it and bring the law to life,” he said.

The one-hour performance presents the daily grind of property, employment, corporate and commercial lawyers.

Audiences take part in the play by solving the client&#39s problems and prizes are on offer for the best solutions. People can win biros, t-shirts or the star prize – an executive Eversheds umbrella.

The Eversheds lawyers have played to packed houses at the universities of Warwick, Oxford, Nottingham and Queen&#39s University, Belfast.
