DLA merges with SchutGrosheide

DLA is continuing its Europe-anexpansionaftervoting through a merger with its Neth-erlands firm SchutGrosheide.

The deal will see DLA take on both the Amsterdam and Rotterdam offices of the 32-partner firm, which is believed to generate around 30m (20.7m) annually.

SchutGrosheide, which has 115 fee-earners, was integrated into DLA on 1 January 2004 and will also become part of DLA LLP. It will be known as DLA SchutGrosheide.

DLAs European expansion has been rapid. This year it acquired Austrian firm Weiss-Tessbach and the Milan office of Coudert Brothers, while last year it took on practices in Belgium and Spain.
