Clifford Chance‘s City trainee solicitors came over all territorial today after they challenged hungry workers from oil giant BP to a snowball fight before they would let them use their buildings supermarket.
More than 50 trainees braved the current cold snap to prepare snowballs in a bid to propel snow at BP workers wanting to use the Marks & Spencer food hall connected to their office.
According to reports BP graduates had been left stranded without any food because the icy conditions had meant that their canteen staff couldnt make it into work. But the bunch braved the snowy onslaught to make it unscathed into the store to buy food supplies for the office.
One Clifford Chance trainee said, It was great such a funny scene. There were even a few snowmen around Canary Wharf.
We at Lawyer 2B don’t blame the Clifford Chance trainees for protecting their much-loved store because, after all its not just any food, Its M&S food.
Elsewhere, Slaughter and May faced its own food crisis. The partners’ dining room was forced to close. That was of course terrible news for the associates, who had to mind their Ps and Qs in the canteen as their bosses prowled the area for food.
