BAKER &McKenzie bosses in San Francisco have given associates the chance to take as much time off as they want so long as they are honest about it.
Under a new holiday scheme which has been named the zero allocation policy ,staff have no fixed holiday entitlement.Instead, employees are able to take time off so long as they exercise discretion and professional judgement ,meet their billable hour requirements as well as the firm s duties
The firm hopes that the scheme will reduce staff stress
levels and boost creativity. Unfortunately for wouldbe Baker &McKenzie trainees in this country, though,a spokesperson for the London office said there were no plans to roll the scheme out over here.
