Addleshaw Goddards Smarties have the answer” />Drum roll, please The winner of Lawyer2B.comsinaugural law fair freebies poll is Addleshaw Goddard, which scooped a whopping 36 per cent of the vote with its Smarties giveaway, backed by the slogan Addleshaw Goddard prides itself on being a destination for Smarties.
Nabarro, meanwhile, was second with 26 per cent of the vote for its golden dictionary a spin-off from the firms hugely successful Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-inspired golden ticket giveaway of 2006.
But in a shock result, magic circle law firm Allen & Overy, which topped the poll during the first week of voting, only managed third place with its miniature double-decker bus and hand warmer.
CMS Cameron McKenna was forced to pull out of the competition after its freebie, a travel adaptor, gave a Cambridge University student an electric shock as reported on the site last month (7 November).
The giveaways, however, have not impressed all Lawyer2B.comusers. One wrote: I am a student and I think the whole freebie thing has got out of hand. I dont think a packet of Smarties or a great book of sticky labels are a good enough reason to join a firm.
