  • Given that they're two similar Northern firms with nice offices, the difference is staggering.

    87% (Nabarro) v 36% (Dickinson Dees)

  • One of the most flawed comparisons you could possibly make. Nabarro has a strong City presence.

  • These figures don't mean a great deal. Just an excuse for law firms to claim some small success while sweeping their other failures in relation to trainees and staff under the carpet (this is not a dig at Nabarro I might add, I have no experience of them, although it's certainly representative of at least one of the big Yorkshire firms with a City presence).

Undertake a poll for trainees at each firm (which is genuinely anonymous) and ask them how they are treated. That will show each firm's true attitude to its trainees and staff and will put these yearly marketing attempts to shame

  • Ask its 5pqe plus lawyers how they feel...oh wait, they have all been given the shove to make way for junior (and cheaper) lawyers.
