Prince Harry’s former squeeze Chelsy Davy (pictured) has bagged a training contract at magic circle law firm Allen & Overy (A&O).
Zimbabwe-born Davy, who has an Economics degree from the University of Capetown, will join A&O after completing her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law (CoL).
The 23-year-old is currently studying a postgraduate law course at the University of Leeds and has already notched up vacation schemes at A&O the Queens law firm Farrer & Co, as first reported on Lawyer2B.com last December (10 December 2008).
CoL chief executive Nigel Savage is looking forward to Davy joining. He said: “I’m delighted that she has chosen to do her training contract with a first-rate establishment like A&O. It means she can have the highest quality training with us.”
The heiress will pocket a starting salary of around 37,000 going up to approximately 65,000 when she qualifies. A&O also offers a 7,000 maintenance grant to students for their LPC year.
Davy reportedly ended her relationship with Harry, 24, after the couple returned from a holiday on the island of Mauritius a few weeks ago.
